A Little Bit About Me...
I am a bald, NY-based photographer who originally hails from Los Angeles . Arriving in NYC in 1997 , I began taking photos at local music venues -the Roxy, Coney Island High, Tramps -first for myself, then later for the bands and their labels. An internship at Hellcat Records gave me the opportunity to grow my portfolio with access to bigger bands and larger venues.
In 2003, I became Photo Editor at Heeb Magazine. It was there that I fist had the chance to meet and photograph some of my comedy idols.
Since leaving Heeb in 2007, I have been chronicling, in portrait form, the big names and up-and-comers of the LA and NY comedy scenes. The project took me across the country and back almost a dozen times over 6 1/2 years, and I self-published it as collectible coffee-table book called Funny Business in 2013. How We Love, my latest book collaboration with writer Mike Sacks, featuring photos of Jon Hamm, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Paul Reubens, Laraine Newman, Chris Meloni, Patton Oswalt and many more, will be out in early 2025.
In addition to taking portraits, I also photograph experiential events and products for ecommerce in-house and at my home studio.
